DECENT WATERPROOF BAGS
There is a lot to be said about the quality of gear on the market these days.
However, I reckon I’ve found some of the best quality adventurer waterproof bags around right here with North Storm®!
North Storm® owners Marc and Lisa saw a demand on the market for decent waterproof bags.
Firstly, they began the process to design several configurations for the market.
They now offer three different waterproof bags to suit any outdoor adventure.
Each bag has its own features.
They are versatile and store your gear when you’re not in the great outdoors.
In addition, you can also separate the wet and dry stuff while on the go.
100% WATERPROOF
North Storm® offers a 60 Litre Waterproof Duffel Bag, 30 Litre Waterproof Backpack and the smallest of the collection so far is a 20 Litre Waterproof Dry Bag.
All North Storm® bags have an IP66 waterproof rating.
They are lightweight, made from 100% waterproof flexible and made of durable 500D PVC tarpaulin material.
In addition they have various lash and tie down points and much more!
Their bag's waterproof rating make them totally dust tight too.
Not only is your gear protected from high pressure jets, they can handle a quick dunking.
Now I won’t lie.
I’ve been giving a couple of these bags an absolute hiding the past few months.
I must say I am suitably impressed by these waterproof bags.
FISHING BACKPACK
The North Storm® 30 Litre Waterproof Backpack is absolutely HUGE with heaps of usable storage (which is perfect for me because I am over 6ft tall).
It’s got an extra layer on the base, EVA back pads (thick foam that breathes) and quick dry and adjustable shoulder straps.
Also easy to use chest straps, removable waist straps, side mesh pockets and the list goes on!
I’ve been using mine as a fishing waterproof backpack when I go to remote fishing spots.
My waterproof backpack is extremely handy when I need to hike into those harder to get to locations.
The fact that the backpack is waterproof makes it extra handy when wading across the odd creek or two.
DESIGNED TO BE HOSED OFF INSIDE
North Storm have designed their waterproof bags to be hosed off inside and out and the end of a big day adventuring.
Plus these waterproof bags dry quickly due to the PVC material they are made from.
Inside you say? Yep – simply stand the bag on the ground and fill it up with water then simply empty it out.
You’ll achieve two things here:
- Wash out any muck inside that has spilled.
- You will see just how waterproof these bags are, nothing leaks out!
NORTH STORM® 60L WATERPROOF DUFFEL BAG
The other bag I’ve been using is the North Storm® 60 Litre Waterproof Duffel Bag.
This waterproof Duffel bag is made from the same material (500D PVC Tarpaulin) and has all the same features but is obviously larger.
In addition, this waterproof duffel also comes with FREE removable shoulder straps.
Therefore it comes in handy if you need to turn your duffel into a backpack.
With serious tie down points (8 in total).
The North Storm® waterproof Duffel can be strapped to the top of a 4 wheel drive, a bike, jet ski, trailer or even inside a boat.
But wait - theres more!
Including two large internal pockets, an external mesh pocket (great for wet or smelly clothes), end grab handles and a large waterproof roll top closure system.
It also has hard wearing oversize buckles and zips, with reflector strips making life easier when fumbling in the dark.
Plus a host of other features!
THROUGH DUST, DIRT AND RAIN PLUS THE LOCAL CAR WASH
This waterproof duffel bag has been riding on top of my 4 wheel drive for some time now and been through dust, dirt and rain – plus accidentally the local car wash!
I can honestly say there has been no trace whatsoever of any moisture inside the bag.
Even being out on the tracks all day it’s been great to throw the dirty recovery gear inside the bag.
I know that it won’t dump mud and grit inside my car.
Then to clean, I simply just give it a quick hose out with water, give it a wipe down and set aside to dry. – it’s that simple.
SO WHAT MAKES THESE NORTH STORM® BAGS STAND OUT FOR ME
It is good to know that North Storm® waterproof bags have been designed for our harsh Australian conditions.
Plus they come from people that have actually put some serious thought and effort into a product.
The owners of North Storm® breathe the outdoors and saw a gap in the market when they couldn’t find a suitable product for their own needs.
SO EASY TO CLEAN AND STORE
These waterproof bags are made from thick and tough PVC material and are so easy to clean and store.
While being non-rigid these bags can be folded away if you don’t have room to hang your bag up.
Across the range, all the seams are high frequency welded with no stitching.
To clarify this is where a radio frequency has been used to fuse two pieces together to make a join (bit more complicated than that but it works).
TOTALLY FLOAT-ABLE IF DROPPED IN A BODY OF WATER
North Storm® 's quality waterproof adventurer bags and high standards have resulted in making the joins as strong as the material itself.
This enables the bags to be totally float-able if dropped in a body of water.
As mentioned previously the North Storm® range of waterproof bags all have heavy duty strapping and safety reflective strips.
One additional feature I like is that the Duffel bags have a lighter covered inside base to make it easier to find those bottom of the bag items.
NORTH STORM® IS STARTING TO GAIN A REPUTATION
The launching of these waterproof bags has been a success to owners Marc and Lisa.
North Storm® have a host of different professional users that demand their bags.
From divers, commercial photographers, adventure travellers, sportspeople, offshore fishermen, through hikers, campers and 4 wheel drivers.
This brand ‘North Storm® is starting to gain a reputation where quality is their number one aim.
In conclusion, this collectable range of quality adventurer waterproof bags are available online here and I highly recommend you grab some.
You won't be disappointed.
