NORTH STORM® AMBASSADOR DARCY HARDING
Introducing Darcy Harding - Pro Basketball player, adventure seeker, fishing enthusiast and all-round lover of the outdoors!
Darcy grew up in Batemans Bay on the far South Coast of NSW and spent most of his life pursuing basketball.
He has represented his state and country in the junior levels and continues to play basketball at a high level now.
Darcy has been fortunate enough to play in the NBL for the Sydney Kings.
He has also travelled around the world playing basketball in countries such as New Caledonia, China, Mongolia, Thailand, Malaysia and the USA.
Although Darcy has previously spent all his time dedicated to basketball his passion has now switched to fishing and the outdoors.
Darcy is a self-taught fisherman, only picking up a rod within the last 4 years and since then he has never looked back.
So now he feels it is the time for him to take this passion to the next level.
We are so honoured to have Darcy Harding on our team at North Storm®. We enjoy watching his fishing adventures on his socials.
He certainly knows how to land some fish on his Hobie kayak!

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF BASKETBALL?
Outside of basketball, my major interests are fishing, spending time with family, friends and my dog Jax.
I also really enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures.
WHO IS YOUR IDOL, HERO? WHO INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?
My biggest idols are my parents - Mum and Dad.
They have shown me how to be selfless, endless love and have always provided me with support in whatever my goals have been.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA WHERE WOULD YOU GO? AND WHY?
If I could travel anywhere in Australia, I would love to head north and fish the Great Barrier Reef and the areas surrounding it.
The possibilities are endless in Australia.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EACH AND EVERY DAY?
What motivates me the most is knowing that I’m working towards spending my days fishing.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH IN YOUR LIFETIME? GOALS?
My short-term goal is to purchase a kayak or small boat and to really dedicate my spare time to fishing.
WHAT DO YOU USE YOUR NORTH STORM® GEAR FOR?
I use my North Storm® waterproof backpack primarily for fishing and camping.
However, I have also found my backpack useful in everyday life to be honest.
No more do I need to be worried about going to work and having my gear damaged if I get caught up in the rain.
