NORTH STORM® AMBASSADOR GAZ HOLLIS
Introducing you to Gaz Hollis – dedicated partner, father, role model, adventurer, car builder and 4×4 off roader extraordinaire!
Gaz grew up on a farm in the country town of Tamworth – New South Wales, Australia.
Tamworth is located on the western side of the Great Dividing Range, and situated on the Peel River.
Growing up on a farm meant hard work, and he spent most of his childhood tinkering with tools and cars or helping out with chores.
Being very hands on, he quickly learned how to fix anything that broke himself around the place.
Gaz would try to mend or improve cars all day long if it wasn’t for school hours and chores during weekends.
As far as he can remember, everything he has done in life has somehow been associated with getting or building his next set of wheels.
This keen interest got Gaz building his mint rig, 51CKGU.
The focus of the build was to create an unstoppable off-road rig, that was reliable enough to travel the country.
Gaz has always loved exploring and has so far completed 2/3 of the ‘lap’ of Australia, via Highway Number 1.
Always searching for his next adventure in South West of Western Australia, his family are keen to finish off travelling the country as soon as possible.
Another thing we love about Gaz is that he loves teaching his son ‘Roo’ about cars, camping and the wild outdoors.
He loves to show Roo how to set up a tent, build a fire, and cook over an open flame
Gaz says there’s nothing more rewarding than bonding with your son while teaching him things he’ll never forget!

Gaz and his partner Nazz have been a part of the North Storm® tribe for a while now.
So we thought it was only fair that we gave him his own dedicated page for being such a legend to us.
We are just so stoked and honoured to have such a down to earth super Aussie on our team!

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF 4 WHEEL DRIVING?
Outside of 4 wheel driving I also love motorbikes - dirt and road.
Actually, make that anything about bikes, hunting, camping and I would say fishing.
But after travelling 2/3 of Australia and only being able to drink beer and feed the fish lately due to covid.
I wouldn’t call that much of an interest, so yeah I'll stick with the motorbikes haha.
WHO IS YOUR IDOL, HERO? WHO INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?
Hard to choose just one, as I have a few who inspire me.
Have to say Roothie, Jase and Simon from All4Adventure, Shauno and Graham from 4WD 24/7.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA WHERE WOULD YOU GO? AND WHY?
I would love to go back to Cape York, there is just something about the Old Tele Track.
The atmosphere and camaraderie of everyone there.
Plus the camping, swimming and 4 wheel driving is something to be experienced.
It’s a 4 wheel drivers paradise!
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EACH AND EVERY DAY?
What motivates me each day is the thrill of the next adventure.
Along with trying and doing something new, something different and teaching my son new things.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH IN YOUR LIFETIME? GOALS?
Finish the lap of Australia that we started in 2019 and then do it all again seeing new things.
